If you are new to Small Business Bank, you can quickly and easily apply for a checking, savings or money market account. Simply tap the “Open a New Account” button on the home screen and follow the prompts on the screen to submit your information. To check the status of your application, tap on the “Chat with a Representative” to go directly to your in-app messages. You can also tap on the avatar in the upper left of the screen after you have submitted your application to open your profile. Select “Customer Service Chat” in the profile menu to view and send messages with Bank staff. You can also upload any requested documents in the chat.
If you are a beneficial owner of a business that has applied for an account with Small Business Bank, there is information that you are asked to provide. You will receive a text message with an invitation code you will use to submit your information. Download the app and tap on the “Beneficial Owners” button and follow the prompts on the screen to submit your information. We are unable to move an application forward until all beneficial owner information is received.
If you are a current account holder with Small Business Bank, tap on Register Your Account in order to set up your mobile banking access. You will need to provide your phone number on file with Small Business Bank, your social security number or business EIN, your date of birth, and one of your account numbers. Select Register, and you will receive a text message with a code to verify your account. Enter the code you received in order to complete the verification process. You do not need to register each account – once you register one account, you will be able to see all bank accounts that are connected to your profile. If you do not receive a verification code, after a few minutes, call our Customer Support Team at 833-925-5499.
Once you verify your account, you will be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN for accessing your accounts. Enter your PIN, then verify your PIN. If the numbers match, you will then be taken to a screen to enter your PIN and log in to your account. If your device supports biometric login, you will see a screen each time you log in that will allow you to set your biometric login. You can also enable or disable your biometric login at any time under the Profile section in the upper left of the app’s home screen.
If you have more than one account with Small Business Bank, you can see all accounts associated with you in the mobile app. Simply swipe left and right on the account buttons at the top of the home screen to see all your accounts. To work with an account, tap on the account you wish to use to highlight the account in blue.
The Profile section can be found under the avatar in the upper left corner of the home screen. In the Profile section, you can submit requests to update your email, personal and business address and phone number. You can also submit DBA information to the bank in the Profile section.
Customer chat is the primary secure message channel in Small Business Bank’s mobile app. You can send secure messages and documents to Bank staff via chat regarding questions or issues with your account. You can also upload PNG, JPEG or PDF files if you need to send documents to staff. Files must be 4 MB or smaller. All communication options can be found in the Profile section by clicking on the avatar in the upper left of the home screen. Under the communication section in the Profile section, you can also see details of your accounts, review messages, set up your communication preferences, and send feedback about the app. You will also find quick links for our website, and a click-to-call feature for our Customer Support Team.
You can view and initiate stop payment requests under Stop Payments in the Profile section. Tap View my Stop Payments, then choose the account you would like to use to view or initiate a stop payment. Once you select the account, you can view any stop payments submitted. By using the green plus icon in the lower right of the screen, you can add a stop payment for the account selected. Stop payment for a single check can be entered by providing the check number, amount and date. Users can also submit multi-check stop payments by providing the starting and ending number of the check series they wish to stop.
Tap on the account that you want to work with to highlight the account button in blue, and then tap on the $ sign in the upper right corner of the home screen. This will bring up a list of transactions for that account. Swipe left and right on your account buttons to select another account in order to view transactions for a different account.
Tap on the account button to highlight the account where you would like to deposit money. Enter the amount and tap deposit in the lower left of the screen. This will allow you to enter an ACH transfer, transfer to another account with Small Business Bank, or make a mobile check deposit. Select the type of deposit you would like to make, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Tap on the account button to highlight the account where you would like to transfer money from. Enter the amount and tap withdraw. You can then select Transfer (if you have other accounts at Small Business Bank), Send Money, Wire Transfer, ACH Transfer or Cashier’s Check. Select the method you would like to use to make the withdrawal, then follow the on-screen prompts. Except for wires, you may submit withdrawals immediately, or schedule them for a later date.
You can schedule recurring transactions using your mobile app. Enter the amount of the recurring transaction you would like, select withdraw, then select schedule for later. You can make a one time payment for a future date or schedule weekly or month payments under the frequency drop down menu. Follow the on screen prompts and select the start date for your payment(s), then select schedule transaction.
If you have recurring transactions scheduled, you can manage those transaction in the Profile section of the mobile app. Select my recurring transactions and select the account you wish to work with. You will be able to see recurring transactions scheduled for the account selected. Tap the three dots on the right side of the transaction to show details for the transaction or delete the transaction. If you need to edit a transaction, you will need to delete it, then reschedule the transaction with the corrected information.
If you are already a Small Business Bank customer, you can apply for SmallBizPay service to be added to your account to process credit and debit card payments directly in the app. From the home screen, simply tap on the avatar in the upper left corner of the screen. In the profile section, scroll down to the business information section, look for Small Biz Pay and tap “Sign Up” and follow the on-screen prompts. If you do not see a signup button, call 855-635-9696 and ask to sign up for SmallBizPay.
